Vertical Saw Machine

A vertical saw machine designed for sawing the gating off a casting. The components are placed vertically to the locator and locked into place via clamps, then the locator rises straight up and the gate is sawn off. It was designed to be tall enough to fit over a chip hopper so the gate would fall directly into that, reducing clean up time.

  • Air blow off nozzles to keep debris off the components.

  • Press mounted hydraulic power supply saves floor space

  • Bottom half of tool shuttles out of press for robot part unload

  • Shuttle bed rolls over to dump trash

  • Air knives shuttle under dumped bed to blow any trash off of tool’s bottom half

  • Manual controls for each function of the press and customer’s saw, allow for easy tool setup and trials of the full cell

  • Automatic grease system lubicrates press tie bars

  • Liquid lube spray system lubricates the trim cutters and casting
